Stray dog attacks leave child, youth injured in Golarchi

BADIN:

A child playing outside his home and a young man heading towards Golarchi market were injured in separate stray dog attacks, fuelling fears among residents over the growing number of stray dogs in the town.

According to local residents, the child, Orhan Khan, son of Rizwan, was bitten on the abdomen by a stray dog while playing in a street in Benazir Colony. In a separate incident, a young man, Asif Jat, was attacked by a stray dog while travelling towards Golarchi market.

Both victims were shifted to the taluka hospital for medical treatment and vaccination. Residents said the increasing number of stray dogs in Golarchi and other parts of Badin district had heightened concerns about public safety, particularly for children and elderly people.
