HSY has issued an urgent security warning after his phone and personal accounts were reportedly compromised on 20 October, prompting concerns over messages sent to hundreds of contacts.

In a statement shared on Instagram, HSY revealed that his phone, WhatsApp, email and contact list had been accessed, warning followers, friends and associates to remain vigilant over any suspicious communications appearing to come from him.

“Yesterday, 20 October, my phone, WhatsApp, email and contact list were compromised,” he wrote. “I do not know the extent of the messages that may have been sent, but hundreds of people have received messages from my accounts.”

The incident has raised concerns about the potential misuse of his personal accounts, with contacts urged to exercise caution and verify any unexpected requests before taking action.

HSY stressed that people should not respond to unusual messages, transfer money, share personal information, click on links or open attachments without first confirming their authenticity through a trusted contact number. He also warned against following instructions that appear to come from him without verifying them independently.

"Please do not respond to unusual messages, send money or personal information, click links, open attachments, or follow any instructions that appear to come from me without verifying them directly through a trusted number", he said.

Reassuring followers about his wellbeing, HSY said: “I’m okay, and we’re working to secure everything.”

He also apologised to those affected by the incident, acknowledging the concern and disruption the compromised accounts may have caused.

“I’m truly sorry for any worry, confusion or inconvenience this may have caused,” he added.

While the full extent of the breach remains unclear, the incident serves as a reminder of the risks associated with compromised phones and connected accounts. Access to messaging apps, email and contact lists can potentially be exploited to send fraudulent messages, impersonate account holders or solicit money and sensitive information from people they know.

For now, the priority is securing the affected accounts and preventing further misuse. HSY’s warning makes one point clear: any unusual request appearing to come from him should be verified directly before anyone takes action.
