FPCCI, BBoIT to showcase mineral, port and industrial potential

LAHORE:
The Balochistan Economic and Investment Forum 2026 will be held on October 21, 2026 at Faletti's Hotel in Lahore, jointly organised by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Board of Investment and Trade Balochistan (BBoIT), the two bodies announced, according to a statement issued on Monday.
FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh, FPCCI Regional Chairman and Vice President Zaki Aijaz and BBoIT Vice Chairman Bilal Khan Kakar said the forum aims to attract investment, accelerate industrial growth and showcase the province's untapped economic and commercial potential. It will explore opportunities across key sectors, promote industrial development, encourage utilisation of mineral resources and strengthen public-private collaboration.
Zaki Aijaz and Bilal Khan Kakar said Balochistan offers immense potential for investment and sustainable growth, supported by abundant natural resources, mineral reserves, an extensive coastline and a strategically significant location.
They said Balochistan, Pakistan's largest province, sits at the crossroads of South Asia, the Middle East and Central Asia, with borders with Iran and Afghanistan and a long coastline along the Arabian Sea offering opportunities to strengthen trade links with Gulf states and Central Asian markets.
They also underscored Gwadar Port's potential to emerge as a hub for international trade, transit and logistics and catalysing development in Balochistan and Pakistan.
