Man falls from flyover, run over by dumper

LAHORE:

A 51-year-old man died after falling from a flyover and being run over by a dumper truck in Nishtar Colony. The deceased, Akbar Ali, died on the spot after falling onto the road and being run over.

Police shifted the body to a morgue for post-mortem examination and initiated legal proceedings.

An investigation was under way to determine whether the deceased had accidentally fallen down from the flyover.

Meanwhile, traffic police have ordered the registration of cases instead of issuing challans to heavy vehicles violating daytime entry restrictions in Lahore to prevent road accidents.

Trucks, trailers, tractor-trolleys and construction machinery are allowed to enter the city after 11pm and must stop operating by 7am.
