According to TMZ, the photograph was taken after Mitte went on a hot-air balloon ride with his friend and former Breaking Bad co-star Luis Moncada in New Mexico. Mitte was reportedly alone at the airport while waiting for his flight.
The actor also spent time at Burque Brew, an airport bar, where he reportedly had a few drinks. Sources told TMZ that Mitte remained kind to fans and other people who approached him during his time at the airport.
At one point, Mitte put his head down while speaking to someone on the phone. However, the identity of the person he was talking to remains unknown.
Mitte, best known for playing Walter White Jr. in the acclaimed television series Breaking Bad, was found dead in Texas on Monday, October 12, at the age of 34. His death was later reported as a suicide.
In the days following his death, tributes poured in from friends, family members and former co-stars. Moncada also spoke emotionally about Mitte's struggles in a video shared by TMZ.
The actor's death has drawn renewed attention to mental health and the importance of support for people experiencing emotional distress.
Mitte's final days have also been the subject of reports about difficulties in his personal life, including alleged tensions involving his fiancée, Kennedy Suarez, and his mother, Dyna. It remains unclear whether Mitte and Suarez had separated before his death.
