Foreign Relations Iran sends relief goods to Sindh

A delegation led by Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najar called on Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah.

KARACHI: The Iranian government’s first batch of relief goods were sent to the Sindh government on Thursday. The second consignment, comprising 55 tonnes of tents and medicines is on its way via Air Cargo. A delegation led by Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najar called on Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah on Thursday. They came to Karachi having assessed the losses and needs caused by the floods while they were in Islamabad. Iran provided $100 million in relief last year and promises to help with the rehabilitation of the people. The chief minister welcomed the Iranian interior minister and expressed his gratitude on the behalf of the people and government of Sindh.
