KARACHI: Social workers need to be better aware of human rights if they are to play a part in curbing cases of abuse of human rights, said Madadgaar Helpline Deputy Program Coordinator Arfa Zainab on Thurday at a seminar organised by the Sindh Social Welfare Department. The seminar consisted of three days of training on standard operating procedures for social workers, arranged by Madadgaar and Unicef. Zainab and other speakers said that the number of cases of abuse of human rights is on the rise and the basic rights of women and children are taken for granted.
