Robert Pattinson has addressed the production pause affecting The Batman Part II, offering a brief update on the highly anticipated DC sequel during a recent appearance in London.

The actor, 40, spoke to Official Pop Drop at the premiere of his new film Primetime on October 12, following reports that filming on the Batman sequel had been temporarily halted while director Matt Reeves attends to a personal matter.

“Yeah, we’re pausing for a little bit, and then we’re going to figure it all out,” Pattinson said.

Warner Bros and DC Studios have not publicly disclosed further details about Reeves’ circumstances.

Pattinson’s comments suggest the production is on hold for now, although no revised filming schedule has been announced in the information provided.

The actor previously expressed confidence in the sequel’s screenplay, describing it as a significant departure from its predecessor.

“The script is extraordinary,” he said earlier this year. “I think it’s going to be a really, really special movie and very, very different.”

The Batman Part II is expected to see Pattinson return as Bruce Wayne and Batman, alongside Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan are also among the reported cast members.

The sequel is currently scheduled to arrive in cinemas on February  18, 2028, following several delays.

Although the production pause has raised questions about the project’s timetable, Pattinson has indicated that the team intends to reassess the situation before determining its next steps.

Further details about filming are yet to be announced.
