PESHAWAR:
Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) provincial president Engineer Amir Muqam has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government ruled Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa for 13 years, and its alleged corruption and mismanagement would now be exposed before the public.
Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, he said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was personally overseeing the affairs of the province and that the federal leadership was united in its efforts to improve public welfare.
Amir Muqam claimed that the people of K-P had rejected PTI's call for protest and observed a 'Day of Deliverance' following the enforcement of governor's rule and emergency measures in the province. He said reports had been received from various areas about the distribution of sweets and fireworks, while no untoward incident was reported from any district and normal life continued.
He said the situation contradicted claims made by PTI leaders and demonstrated that the people wanted peace, employment and development rather than political confrontation.
