Section 144 imposed in Pindi, Murree

Section 144 has been imposed in Rawalpindi and Murree for a period of one month, prohibiting public meetings, processions, protest rallies, sit-ins and gatherings of five or more people. Separate notifications imposing the restrictions in the two districts have been issued.

According to the notifications, Section 144 will remain in force from 10 October 10 to November 8 2026. According to Murree police, Section 144 has been imposed in view of the prevailing security concerns.
