'Killer' brother-in-law held

The Bin Qasim Police have claimed to solve a murder case and arrested the victim's brother-in-law as the alleged prime suspect, a District Malir police spokesperson said.

According to the spokesperson, the incident took place on September 9 inside the victim's house in Sabu Gabol Goth, Shah Town. Najeebullah was shot dead while his wife, Naghma, was also present in the house. Police registered a murder case and launched an investigation. During the probe, investigators used technical resources and intelligence-based information to identify a suspect who had travelled to Waziristan after the incident.

After his return, police questioned the man. He initially claimed to be an eyewitness and provided important information about the incident. Based on his statement and other evidence, investigators allegedly identified the victim's brother-in-law, Noor Akbar.
