NADRA ordered to fix gender code error in CNIC
.

LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to correct a citizen's 13-digit identity number after an erroneous gender code continued to identify him as female in connected government systems despite his gender having been corrected to male.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani while dismissing NADRA's civil revision, observed that merely correcting the gender printed on a CNIC was ineffective if the identity number and verification responses continued to transmit contradictory information to other institutions.
