Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal prison release date has reportedly been moved from January 2028 to March 2, 2028, according to Bureau of Prisons records cited by PEOPLE.

Combs, who is serving his sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, was previously scheduled for release on January 21, 2028. The Bureau of Prisons did not comment on the reason for the change.

“For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not comment on the conditions of confinement for any incarcerated individual, including reasons for a change in release date,” the BOP told PEOPLE on Wednesday, October 7.

The change comes after reports concerning Combs’ conditions in prison. PEOPLE previously reported that he had been placed in solitary confinement following an NBC News report that alleged he had access to contraband items while incarcerated.

PEOPLE confirmed that Combs remains in solitary confinement.

The NBC report alleged that Combs had access to a “jailbroken” tablet, which he reportedly used to watch films and documentaries, including Netflix’s Sean Combs: The Reckoning.

A source also told PEOPLE that Combs had been seen using a mobile phone to view Instagram and sexually explicit photos sent by a former girlfriend.

The report further alleged that Combs received special meals, massages and premium cognac while in prison.

Combs was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of more serious charges at the conclusion of his federal trial in New York City.

Following sentencing, Combs was transferred to FCI Fort Dix, a low-security federal facility. He had previously been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn during his trial.
