Gold, silver prices fall in global, local markets

KARACHI:

Gold and silver prices declined in international and local markets. In the international bullion market, the price of gold fell by $31 per ounce to $4,119.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), in the local market, the price of gold per tola declined by Rs3,100 to Rs434,436. The price of 10-gram gold also fell by Rs2,658 to Rs372,458.

Meanwhile, silver prices also declined, with the price per tola falling by Rs100 to Rs6,488. The price of 10-gram silver decreased by Rs86 to Rs5,562.

On Tuesday, gold prices in the local market remained unchanged, while the precious metal gained in the international market. According to rates issued by the APGJSA, the price of gold remained unchanged at Rs437,536 per tola, while the price of 10-gram gold stood at Rs375,116. The price of silver also remained unchanged at Rs6,588 per tola.

On Monday, gold prices in the local market increased despite little movement in the international market. According to rates released by the APGJSA, the price of gold rose by Rs1,200 per tola to Rs437,536, while the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs1,029 to Rs375,116. Silver prices also strengthened in Pakistan, rising by Rs66 per tola to Rs6,588, marking a new all-time high.

On Saturday, according to the APGJSA, the price of gold in the local market fell by Rs4,300 per tola to Rs436,336, while the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs3,687 to Rs374,087. The price of silver fell by Rs56 per tola to Rs6,522, while the price of 10-gram silver decreased by Rs48 to Rs5,591.
