Bahrainian FM arrives in Pakistan for two-day visit
FM Dar and Al Zayani will co-chair the third session of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission, FO says

Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani landed in Pakistan on a two-day visit from October 7-8, the Foreign Office (FO) said on Wednesday.
The FO said the visit came at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and FM Ishaq Dar.
The visiting dignitary was received at the airport by Secretary EAD Muhammad Humair Karim and Additional Secretary (Middle East) Zahid Hussain.

The FO added that the visit reflected the "close, cordial and brotherly ties" between Pakistan and Bahrain and underscored the shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, arrived in Islamabad today on an official visit to Pakistan from 7–8 October 2026.

Earlier in the day, the FO said that FM Dar and Al Zayani would co-chair the third session of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC),
"The two sides will review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and discuss ways to further strengthen cooperation across diverse areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, economic cooperation, defence and security, labour and manpower, and cultural exchanges."

The foreign ministers will also “exchange views on regional and international developments of mutual interest and cooperation at multilateral forums”, according to the statement.
The FO said relations between Pakistan and Bahrain were “close, brotherly relations founded on shared faith, common values, mutual respect, and longstanding people-to-people links”.
The two countries “maintain regular high-level exchanges and close cooperation across a wide range of areas”, it said.
The visit “reflects the strong momentum in Pakistan-Bahrain relations and the shared commitment of both countries to further deepen bilateral cooperation and advance mutually beneficial ties”, the FO added.
