Four cantt dispensaries shut

The Rawalpindi and Chaklala Cantonment Boards have closed four dispensaries in civilian-populated areas after declaring them "sick units" under a decision by the competent authority to shut dispensaries in cantonment areas across the country.

The dispensaries closed include those at Tench Bhatta and Chohar Chowk under the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB), and Tariqabad Main Bazaar and Dhoke Chiragh Din under the CCB. They have been closed until further orders.

The decision has been taken because the dispensaries had a low number of patients while incurring relatively high operating costs. The dispensaries were categorised as "sick units", and all cantonment boards across the country have taken similar measures within their respective jurisdictions.
