Beautyworld Dubai has opened its landmark 30th edition, bringing together professionals from across fragrance, skincare, cosmetics, haircare and beauty technology at Dubai World Trade Centre from October 6 to 8.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt Middle East, the three-day trade event is showcasing the latest products and technologies while offering industry professionals a look at the trends, innovations and personalities shaping the future of beauty.

According to Khaleej Times, fragrance remains one of the event's biggest highlights, with its dedicated section expanding significantly in recent years. The fragrance area has grown to more than 19,000 square metres this year and features more than 220 exhibitors.

Major regional fragrance companies, including Lattafa, Afnan, Armaf and French Avenue, are taking part alongside Kuwait's Gissah and Saudi Arabia's Al Majed for Oud, which is exhibiting at the event for the first time.

British beauty brand Lush is also using the event to introduce a new fragrance collection. Meanwhile, Scentronix, known for its AI-powered perfume technology and its work on the scent experience at Dubai's Museum of the Future, is demonstrating how artificial intelligence is influencing modern perfumery.

The Next in Fragrance conference is another key attraction, with master perfumer Aurélien Guichard appearing on October 6 and Louis Vuitton's Jacques Cavallier Belletrud scheduled for October 7. Discussions are expected to explore evolving consumer preferences, alcohol-free perfumes and the growing influence of younger fragrance buyers.

The event's programme extends well beyond fragrance, with prominent makeup artists and hairstylists conducting demonstrations and masterclasses.

Makeup artists Mary Phillips and Patrick Ta are among the featured names, while hairstylists Mounir, Dimitris Giannetos and Josh Lamonaca are showcasing their techniques on the live stages.

Phillips is also participating in the Next in Beauty conference, where discussions will cover investment opportunities, luxury beauty retail and the expanding GCC market.

Visitors can also explore Korean skincare brands such as SKIN1004, Medicube and Meditherapy, alongside companies working in beauty technology and packaging. Natural Notes is returning as a platform connecting producers of natural ingredients with fragrance companies.

The Beautyworld Dubai Awards will be held on October 7 at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre. The awards recognise achievements across 17 categories.

Among this year's honourees is Huda Kattan, founder of Huda Beauty, who will receive the Beautyworld Icon Award. The honour recognises her contribution to the international beauty industry and the growth of the Dubai-founded brand.

Beautyworld Dubai is a trade-focused event rather than a consumer shopping exhibition. Entry to the exhibition halls is restricted to those aged 18 and above.
