K-P CM unveils five-day march plan

MARDAN/PESHAWAR:
K-P Chief Minister Sohail Afridi announced in the wee hours of Sunday a five-day plan for the party's march as the senior PTI leaders continued to insist on their demands.
Afridi posted on 'X' that the march would reach Peshawar by October 8 and subsequently announced a five-day programme for the protest.
Meanwhile, PTI workers in Mardan continued preparations for the march.
Speaking at a consultation meeting at his residence, PTI MPA Zahir Shah Toru said party workers would participate fully in the Oct 4 march on the call of the leadership, while urging them to remain peaceful, organised and responsible and continue their political activities within the bounds of law.
The meeting, attended by workers from PK-57 Mardan, also raised Rs1.4 million in donations for the long march within an hour.
The participants expressed their resolve that the long march would be held peacefully and through constitutional means, while ensuring the protection of law and order, citizens' routine activities and public and government property.
The meeting discussed preparations for the march, workers' participation, travel arrangements, coordination and other logistical matters.
A finance committee was also formed to oversee financial affairs and ensure transparent management of funds.
Zahir Shah Toru said workers would go to every extent on the leadership's call for the release of the PTI founder.
