RAWALPINDI:

The School Education Department has approved the opening of e-transfers for teachers on hardship grounds, with online applications to be submitted through the School Information System (SIS) from September 28 to October 8. All transfer orders under the hardship category will be issued through the portal, with provision for such orders to be issued throughout the year.

Under the hardship transfer policy, divorced female teachers may apply for transfer on the basis of divorce, while widows may seek transfer following the death of their husbands. A transfer facility is also available to women who have obtained khula.

Teachers may also apply for transfers on grounds of disability, medical reasons and wedlock, subject to the relevant policy provisions regarding the employment or posting of spouses.

In special circumstances, parents raising children alone, as well as female teachers seeking transfer after marriage, may also apply subject to the prescribed conditions.

According to the schedule, online applications will be received from September 28 to October 8, while the District Hardship Committees will scrutinise applications and submit their recommendations from October 10 to 16.

Teachers dissatisfied with a decision of the District Hardship Committee may submit objections from October 18 to November 3 before the Divisional Grievance Redressal Committee.

The Divisional Committee will process objections from November 4 to 20, followed by proceedings of the Departmental Hardship Committee from November 21 to 27. The final transfer orders will be issued through the portal on November 29 and 30.
