Couple murdered over land dispute

HARIPUR:

A husband and wife were shot dead over a land dispute in the Ghazi area. In an act of extreme brutality, the perpetrators set the husband's body on fire after killing him.

The police said that they have arrested the suspects, Ashfaq, son of Miskeen, and Qamar, son of Jahandad, both residents of the same village and relatives of the victims, and recovered the murder weapon.

DSP Ghazi Masood Khan stated that the incident occurred in Mohallah Thala of Mauza Papliala village, Ghazi, where a 55-year-old man named Bostan and his wife, identified as R, were shot dead over a land dispute. He added that after murdering the couple, the perpetrators set Bostan's body ablaze.
