HYDERABAD:
Five persons, including a man and his two young sons, were gunned down in a shop on Jacobabad road allegedly over a land dispute between two groups in Ratodero taluka of Larkana district on Saturday. SSP Larkana Azhar Khan told the media after visiting the crime scene that the police have identified the assailants but he stopped short of disclosing their identities because police parties were already dispatched to arrest them.
According to him, four of the slain persons were Ghangro by caste while the fifth victim was visiting their shop. The SSP claimed that the slain persons were locked in a land dispute and that the conflict between two groups of Ghangro cast has so far claimed 13 lives.
The deceased persons have been identified as Rajab Ali Ghangro and his sons Riaz Ali and Qurban Ali besides a resident of their village Bilawal Ghangra and a visitor Abdullah Brohi. The eye witnesses informed the police that three men riding a motorbike killed the persons who kept urging the attackers to spare their lives because they were not the ones with whom their side of Ghangro community is entangled in a clash.
Abdur Rehman, brother of Rajab, told the media that they had no enmity with the attackers of Ghangro and Dahani castes.
