Actor Ahad Raza Mir has surprised fans by announcing plans to take a break from showbiz in 2027, saying he intends to step away from professional commitments, spend time with his family and disappear from social media during the planned hiatus.

A video from the actor's recent live session has been circulating on social media, in which he spoke about his decision and said he wanted to inform fans well in advance about his absence. "I am taking off next year. I thought to inform you guys in time so that you all should just be ready and prepared about my decision."

Mir told his followers that he planned to completely withdraw from his professional life during the break, including stepping away from Instagram. "I am going on a break, disappearing completely, spending time with my family, and Instagram will be off," he said, describing his decision as "sort of a semi-retirement."

The announcement has generated considerable discussion among fans, with social media users speculating about the reasons behind his planned hiatus. Some suggested he could be preparing for marriage, while others viewed it simply as a much-needed break after a busy period of work.

Mir has not confirmed any of the speculation and has offered no further details about the reasons for his decision. His comments, however, indicate that the break is intended to be temporary rather than a permanent departure from acting.

The actor has appeared in popular dramas including 'Yakeen Ka Safar', 'Ahd-e-Wafa', 'Yeh Dil Mera', 'Mere Humsafar' and 'Hum Tum'. He also starred in the 2018 film 'Parwaaz Hai Junoon' and portrayed Hamlet in the theatre production 'Hamlet: A Ghost Story' in Calgary, Canada, in 2019.

Mir also appeared in Netflix's 'Resident Evil' last year. More recently, he played Haroon Malik in Green TV's 'Ek Mohabbat Aur' and is currently working on 'Kaif-e-Firaq' alongside Yumna Zaidi.
