Jesse McCartney and his wife Katie Peterson are expecting their second child, with the couple announcing the pregnancy on October 1.

The singer, 39, and Peterson, 38, shared the news on Instagram alongside photos of their family, including their 16-month-old son, Archer. The couple revealed that their second baby is due in March 2027.

“Archer is getting promoted to big brother 🤍 March 2027,” they wrote in the announcement.

The photos showed McCartney and Peterson posing with their son in their backyard while wearing coordinated white outfits. Archer also wore a small bowtie as he posed with his parents and a sonogram strip.

McCartney and Peterson welcomed their first child in May 2025 and have since shared occasional glimpses of their family life on social media.

In January, McCartney posted a video of himself working on new music at the piano while Archer was strapped to his chest. The singer jokingly referred to his son as his “new co-writer” in the caption.

Peterson has also documented moments with Archer, including attending one of McCartney’s concerts in New York City. During the outing, Archer was photographed with a custom blanket featuring the words “Beautiful Soul”, a reference to McCartney’s 2004 hit song of the same name.

McCartney later called his son his “favorite roadie” in the comments, while Peterson joked about Archer joining his father at the concert.

The couple also celebrated Archer’s first Halloween last year, dressing him as a puffin while their family dog wore a fish costume.

McCartney and Peterson have been married since 2021. Their second child is expected to arrive in March 2027.
