Model Sadia Khan mourns loss of her cousin, remembers her as an elder sister

Model Sadia Khan mourned the death of her cousin, remembering her as more than family — an elder sister and a “beautiful soul” who held a special place in her heart.

Khan shared the news in an emotional post on Instagram, revealing that her cousin had been battling liver cancer and died after facing the illness with strength.

“Today, I lost someone who was not just my cousin, but an elder sister and a beautiful soul who held such a special place in my heart,” she wrote.

Remembering her cousin, Khan said she had spent years giving love, helping others and being there for the people around her. She also reflected on the strength her cousin had shown while battling cancer.

Khan revealed that she was on a plane when she learned of her cousin’s death, making the moment even more difficult.

“I am on a plane right now, and my heart feels so heavy. I feel helpless that I had to leave, but I pray Allah knows my heart, my intentions, and that I did everything I could for her,” she wrote.

Among the memories Khan said she would carry with her were the final duas her cousin gave her while holding her hand.

“The precious duas she gave me while holding my hand are something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Those moments are everything to me,” she shared.

“She was also very close to my mother, and somehow, through all this pain, I find comfort in knowing that today she is with my mother again,” Khan wrote. “Two souls who loved each other in this life, reunited in the next.”

Khan acknowledged that she does not usually share deeply personal experiences publicly, but asked her followers to remember her cousin in their duas.

“I don’t usually share things this personal, but today I ask you all to please remember my beloved cousin in your duas,” she wrote.

Despite the grief, Khan said she was grateful that she had been able to be there for her cousin, hold her hand and do whatever she could for her.

She ended the tribute with a message of love and remembrance: “Until we meet again. You were loved, you are loved, and you will never be forgotten.”

Sadia Khan is a Pakistani actress and model who began her career in the fashion industry before making her television debut. She gained widespread recognition for playing Imaan in the popular drama series Khuda Aur Muhabbat and has since appeared in several projects, including Laa, Shayad, Maryam Periera and Abdullah: The Final Witness.
