Hudson Williams speaks out over Cornell sexual assault case, calls for arrests

Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams has spoken out over the sexual assault case involving seven former and current Cornell University students, sharing a post calling for their arrest after prosecutors reopened the investigation.

Williams shared an Instagram Story on September 29 featuring photographs of the seven men named as defendants in a civil lawsuit filed by a former Cornell student. The actor wrote, “arrest them. fuck them and fuck cornell too,” alongside the images.

The lawsuit concerns an alleged sexual assault at Cornell’s Chi Phi fraternity house in October 2024. The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe in court documents, alleges that she was coerced into consuming drugs and alcohol before being sexually assaulted by multiple fraternity members while incapacitated.

The seven men named in the lawsuit are Matthew Ingalls, Johnathan Newell, Winston Lee, Gillio Lopes, Diego Sarabia, Scott Norris and Scott Kretzschmar. The allegations remain unproven, and none of the seven had been criminally charged as of September 29. Attorneys for some of the defendants have denied the allegations.

The case returned to the spotlight after the civil lawsuit was filed earlier this month. Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten announced on September 28 that prosecutors would reopen the criminal investigation and present evidence to a grand jury. The decision followed renewed scrutiny over the handling of the original investigation in 2024.

According to prosecutors, the account provided by the woman to Cornell police in 2024 differed from the allegations contained in the recent lawsuit. Her attorney has disputed that characterisation and criticised the original investigation. The renewed investigation will determine whether additional evidence supports potential criminal charges.

Cornell has said it supports the decision to reopen the case. The university also confirmed that it conducted its own Title IX investigation and that sanctions included expulsions and suspensions, while the Chi Phi chapter involved was closed in 2024 and remains barred from campus.

Williams’ post comes as the case continues to attract attention from public figures. The Heated Rivalry actor has not publicly elaborated on his Instagram Story beyond the message accompanying the images. His response follows renewed public discussion surrounding the allegations and the decision to bring the case before a grand jury.
