Marking 28 years of commercial presence in Pakistan, McDonald’s hosted a corporate partner recognition ceremony in Lahore, reaffirming its strategic commitment to domestic procurement and industrial value creation.

The gathering at McDonald’s Etihad Town restaurant in Lahore brought together senior executives from key domestic industrial allies, including Packages Limited, Big Bird, Nurpur, Fresh & Freeze, Saima Packaging Pronto Spaces, and the Zaman Foundation, to review nearly three decades of collaborative supply-chain development.

The milestone underscored how multinational food franchises can strengthen domestic economies through structured localisation.

Over 28 years, McDonald’s has partnered with Pakistani manufacturers to transfer technical knowledge, implement international standards, and build resilient cold-chain infrastructure across the country.

This long-term capability-building has enabled local suppliers to modernise their processing lines, expand production capacity, and generate high-skilled employment across the agricultural and manufacturing sectors.

McDonald’s leadership noted that developing a robust, domestic supplier ecosystem has provided essential operational resilience while insulating the business against global supply volatility.

As the company looks toward its next phase of growth, its alliances with Pakistani industry remain the cornerstone of its corporate and operational strategy.
