Punjab bans scrutiny of NSB funds

RAWALPINDI:

The Punjab School Education Department has imposed a ban on the scrutiny of Non-Salary Budget (NSB) funds of primary, middle, high and higher secondary schools across the province and ordered the immediate suspension of ongoing audits and inquiries into the funds.

Under the new directive, no institution or officer other than the school council and audit committee will be allowed to audit the non-salary budget funds.

The School Education Department has issued a formal circular in this regard.

The decision has been taken following complaints from school heads.
