Three injured in clash over harvesting

Rival groups trade fire for rice produce

FAISALABAD:

Two men and a teenage boy were injured in an armed clash between two groups over harvesting of rice crop in the area of Tandlianwala.

A Rescue 1122 spokesperson said here on Sunday that the incident occurred in Chak No.429-GB Tandlianwala where a dispute over the harvesting of rice crop escalated into a clash between rival groups.

Both groups resorted to firing, which resulted in injuries to 16-year-old Ali Hasnain, 55-year-old Muhammad Yaqoob and 35-year-old Saddam Hussain.

After receiving an emergency call, a rescue team rushed to the spot and provided first aid to the injured.

The victims were shifted to the Tandlianwala Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.
