'Aap Ki Izzat' finale divides viewers over Tabish and Beena's reunion

Aap Ki Izzat has ended on an emotional note, with Tabish and Beena finding their way back to each other in a finale that divided viewers over whether their reunion offered a satisfying resolution to the couple’s troubled relationship.

The final episode brought the two characters together after a series of painful experiences and misunderstandings, ultimately reuniting their family.

While some viewers welcomed the emotional ending and praised Ahsan Khan and Urwa Hocane for their performances, others felt the resolution made forgiveness seem too easy and did not fully address the consequences of Tabish’s actions.

Khan took to Instagram to share clips and reactions from the final episode, with fans flooding his Stories with messages of appreciation for the lead actors and their performances throughout the drama.

One viewer defended the decision to give the couple a positive ending, describing their reconciliation as an imperfect but meaningful portrayal of marriage.

“Best believe we all were in tears. This is marriage. This is the relationship between a husband and wife. They fight, they quarrel, they get upset, there’s distance but in the end, there’s no bigger peace. Everything is complete when they are together,” the fan wrote.

Another viewer acknowledged that the finale might not have been what everyone wanted, but argued that the drama’s depiction of a damaged relationship still had value.

“It’s ever so easy to tell a woman or man who has betrayed one another, especially if they were married, to leave. Leave him. Leave her. Do they deserve it? Yes. Especially the one who betrayed first,” the fan wrote.

“Do we agree with everything in the story? Maybe not. Did we want this happy ending? Again, maybe not. But was this broken mess of a relationship, which found a not-so-perfect but happy ending, beautiful? Yes. This was beautiful,” the viewer added.

Not everyone was convinced, however. Some viewers felt the finale glossed over the consequences of Tabish’s actions and made reconciliation appear too straightforward. One fan described the resolution as “too easy and unrealistic”, drawing comparisons with the ending of Mere Paas Tum Ho.

Despite the disagreement over the conclusion, viewers broadly praised Khan and Hocane for portraying the emotional complexities of their characters, particularly their experiences with marital conflict and strained family relationships.

Another praised the performances across the cast, writing, “Superb performance by the actors, Ahsan Khan, Urwa Hocane, and Sania Saeed.”

Bushra Ansari also took to Instagram to applaud the drama, praising its script and the performances of its lead actors.

“What a brilliant performance by Ahsan Khan and Urwa Hussain. You both actually shook the world and showed when the artists get a good script it really transforms the real person into the character they are playing,” she wrote.

The strain extended beyond their marriage, as Beena also felt unappreciated by her children and other members of the family. Tabish eventually married another woman, leaving Beena to rebuild her life.

She later sought a fresh start with a vegetable seller, only to discover that he was not the person she had believed him to be. After facing the consequences of their choices and confronting the issues that had driven them apart, Tabish and Beena eventually reconciled.

The finale ultimately left viewers with contrasting interpretations of what their reunion represented. For some, it was an emotional portrayal of forgiveness and the complexities of marriage; for others, it did not go far enough in exploring the consequences of betrayal.

Either way, the ending generated considerable discussion, with Khan and Hocane’s performances emerging as one of the most consistently praised aspects of the drama.
