Three cops dismissed for attacking ASI

Three policemen deployed for security duty in Attock have been dismissed from service for allegedly assaulting an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) during a duty-related altercation, police sources said.

According to police sources, around 4,000 Faisalabad police personnel, including SSP Operations Faisalabad Imran Ahmed Malik, have been deployed in Attock in view of a possible protest by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The incident took place on Saturday evening while the policemen were performing security duty on the Hazara Motorway in Attock, the sources said.

Three personnel allegedly got into an altercation with ASI Mushtaq Ahmed.
