9-year-old drowns in open drain

A nine-year-old boy drowned after falling into an open drain along a footpath in Agra Taj Colony.

According to details, the body of the child was found in an open drain near the Edhi workshop at the Agra Taj Colony bus stop on Mauripur Road, within the Kalri police jurisdiction.

Police and Edhi volunteers reached the site after receiving information and retrieved the body from the drain. It was shifted to Civil Hospital where the deceased was identified as nine-year-old Ayan Baloch, son of Shahbaz Ali, a resident of Gul Muhammad Lane in Lyari.

After completing the necessary legal formalities, police handed over the body to the family.
