Minister Jan attends funeral of martyred cop

He says our martyrs are our pride, and we salute their sacrifices

PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan on Thursday attended the funeral prayers of martyred police constable Muhammad Afaq at Police Lines Peshawar and paid tribute to him for sacrificing his life in the line of duty.

The minister laid a floral wreath on the coffin of the martyred policeman and met his brother and other bereaved family members, offering his heartfelt condolences and expressing solidarity with them in their hour of grief.

Speaking on the occasion, Shafi Jan said that Constable Muhammad Afaq had laid down his life while performing his duty.

"Our martyrs are our pride and we salute their sacrifices," he said.

He said the sacrifices rendered by the K-P police in the fight against terrorism were unforgettable and would never be allowed to go in vain.
