Officer's widow awaits pension

RAWALPINDI:

The heirs of an officer who retired in grade 19 after serving the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) for more than 30 years have yet to receive his pension and outstanding dues, even 16 months after his death.

According to details, grade-19 officer Jamshed Aftab retired on Oct 7, 2024, after serving as Director Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering and Chief Planner at the RDA.

He died on May 27, 2025. He had served the RDA for more than 30 years.

Jamshed Aftab had been residing in a government accommodation in Civil Lines before his retirement. After his death, his family vacated the government residence upon completion of the stipulated period.
