Six officials suspended over alleged corruption

FAISALABAD:

Six employees of the Suthra Punjab Agency and Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) have been suspended over alleged financial irregularities, with their cases referred to the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) for further investigation.

The action comes amid a crackdown on corruption in government departments, with officials taking disciplinary measures and referring suspected cases to ACE for legal scrutiny.

Suthra Punjab Agency Managing Director Abid Hussain Bhatti said the organisation was implementing a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, malpractices and misuse of authority.

He said any officer or employee found involved in misuse of government resources, financial irregularities or corruption would face action in accordance with the law and departmental rules.

Assistant Transport Officer Ijaz Ahmed, Fuel Dispensers Ghulam Murtaza and Muhammad Irfan were also suspended, while the matter was referred to ACE Punjab for further investigation.
