Umrah vaccination waiver extended

KARACHI:

Umrah pilgrims have been allowed to travel without vaccination for another 15 days, with the exemption now extended until October 10, officials said.

Focal person Dr Murtaza Shah Bukhari said the extension was granted to facilitate pilgrims and ease the vaccination process. A 24-hour International Traveller Vaccination Centre will also become operational at Karachi airport from September 24.

Meningitis vaccination will cost Rs2,785, influenza Rs1,720, while polio vaccination will be provided free of charge.
