Suspects flee with millions in two Clifton robberies

KARACHI:

The upscale Clifton area of the metropolis came under the spotlight after two separate theft and robbery incidents left suspects fleeing with millions of rupees on Tuesday.

A man and a woman allegedly stole Rs5 million from a supermarket near Teen Talwar. Reportedly, the suspects opened the supermarket's locker using a key and took the cash.

In a second incident, armed suspects robbed a milk trader of Rs1.7 million in Clifton's Block VIII. According to the victim, seven armed suspects riding three motorcycles intercepted him and fled after snatching the cash.
