Six terrorists killed in Balochistan

ISLAMABAD:

Security forces killed six terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation in the Saran Tangi area of Balochistan as part of ongoing Operation Shaban 2, security sources said on Tuesday.

According to the sources, security forces also arrested nine suspected individuals during the operation. The action was carried out on the basis of intelligence reports regarding the presence of Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists in the area.

A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists, the sources said, adding that operations against terrorists were continuing across the province. Security forces would continue their operations against terrorists until the elimination of the last terrorist, the sources said.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the security forces for eliminating the six terrorists.

President Zardari praised the "bravery and professional expertise" of the security forces while PM Shehbaz reiterated that any attempt to undermine Pakistan's peace would be thwarted.
