292 polling stations planned for NA-168 by-polls

BAHAWALPUR:

A total of 292 polling stations will be established in National Assembly constituency NA-168 Bahawalpur for the by-election scheduled for September 27, Returning Officer Dr Ayesha Khan said on Monday.

She made the remarks while chairing a meeting to review administrative, security and other arrangements for the by-election. The meeting also discussed provision of basic facilities at polling stations, rescue services and measures to ensure a smooth polling process.

Dr Khan directed all departments and institutions involved in the electoral process to complete arrangements well before polling day and perform their duties with vigilance, impartiality and responsibility. She said the election would be conducted in a transparent, fair and free environment in accordance with the law.
