Azma's video link plea: LHC seeks responses

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday issued notices to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) and other respondents on a petition filed by Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari seeking permission to record her statement through video link in a cybercrime case.

Justice Abher Gul Khan heard the petition, while Advocate Ali Zahid Bukhari appeared on behalf of the provincial minister.

The counsel submitted that Azma faced security threats, making her physical appearance before the court impractical. He said despite these circumstances, a magistrate and a sessions judge had rejected her requests to record her statement through video link.
