It remains inside top 10 across six US charts

Olivia Rodrigo has matched a major chart milestone from her own catalogue as You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love spends its 12th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Alternative Albums chart.

The result puts Rodrigo's latest studio album level with Guts, which also spent 12 weeks at the summit of the alternative ranking following its release in 2023. Her newest album has therefore equalled the longest No. 1 run Rodrigo has achieved on that particular Billboard chart.

You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love is also at No. 1 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart. According to the chart figures reported by Forbes, the album has spent 13 weeks on that ranking and has led it for 12 of those weeks. The album was released on June 12, 2026, through Geffen Records.

The project has also maintained a strong position across Billboard's broader US album rankings. The report states that it appears in the top 10 on all six Billboard charts where it is currently listed, including the Billboard 200, where it has risen to No. 2.

That performance follows a strong opening for Rodrigo's third studio album. The record debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after earning 485,000 equivalent album units in the United States during its opening tracking week, according to Luminate figures reported by Billboard. It became Rodrigo's third album to reach the top of the main US albums chart, following Sour and Guts.

Rodrigo's debut album Sour does not appear on the Top Alternative Albums or Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts. Her later releases have been represented on those rock and alternative rankings, reflecting the classification of her newer material.

Guts remains present on both alternative focused charts as well. The album continues to occupy a top 10 position on the Top Alternative Albums chart while also remaining within the upper portion of the Top Rock & Alternative Albums ranking.

With You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love continuing its strong chart run, Rodrigo has now matched one of her own established milestones while extending the commercial performance of her third studio album.

Rodrigo began her career as a child actress. She rose to prominence with her leading roles in Disney Channel series.

She shifted her focus to music and signed with Geffen Records in 2020. Her debut studio album, Sour (2021), topped the US Billboard 200 and nine other charts worldwide. It was preceded by the US Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "Drivers License" and "Good 4 U". She was the subject of a documentary, Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U (2022). Her next two studio albums, Guts (2023) and You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love (2026), produced the US number-one singles "Vampire" and "Drop Dead" respectively, making her the first artist to have each lead single from their first three albums debut atop the chart.

Rodrigo's accolades include three Grammy Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, and seven Billboard Music Awards. She was named Time's Entertainer of the Year in 2021, Billboard's Woman of the Year in 2022, and ASCAP's Pop Music Songwriter of the Year in both 2022 and 2024.
