RAWALPINDI:

A cryoablation machine was delivered to the Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi for the treatment of cancer patients.

According to the Medical Superintendent of HFH, Dr Ijaz Butt, the machine will be made operational in the last week of September.

The cryoablation machine will make it possible to treat patients suffering from breast, lung and liver cancer. Patients with early-stage, or stage-one and stage-two, cancer will be able to benefit from this modern treatment method.

The cryoablation machine will be installed at HFH alongside the hospital's main operation theatre, while the treatment schedule for patients will be issued after their registration at the OPD.

Treatment of cancer patients through a cryoablation machine has been continuing at Lahore's Mayo Hospital since 2025.
