Shafi Jan inspects Kohat police lines blast

PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information, Science and Technology and Information Technology Minister, Shafi Jan rushed to Kohat Old Police Lines after receiving reports of an explosion and inspected the situation at the site.

The provincial minister received initial briefings from relevant officials about the blast and reviewed rescue and relief operations. He was also briefed on the security situation, rescue activities and other arrangements being made by the authorities.

Later, Shafi Jan visited District Headquarters Hospital Kohat, where he met the injured, inquired about their health and reviewed the treatment being provided to them. He directed the hospital administration to ensure the provision of the best possible medical care, medicines and other necessary facilities to the injured without any shortage.

Condemning the terrorist attack, the minister said targeting innocent civilians and security personnel was highly deplorable and unacceptable. He said the sacrifices of the victims would not go in vain and those responsible for the attack, along with their facilitators, would be brought to justice.
