Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has taken serious notice of the marriage of an underage girl, Babu, to an elderly man in the Kechlak area. The issue was highlighted in the social media alleging a 60-year-old man of marrying a two-year-old girl.

Following the Chief Minister's directives, the girl's father, Abdul Bari, has been arrested from Chaman. The case has sparked widespread concern over child protection and the enforcement of laws against underage marriage in the province.

Adviser to the Chief Minister of Balochistan for Information and Political Affairs, Shahid Rind, stated that no individual involved in the incident concerning the underage girl will be considered above the law. He emphasized that the provincial government is committed to ensuring justice for the child and holding all those responsible accountable.

According to Shahid Rind, investigations into the incident are underway from all angles on the direct orders of the Chief Minister. He said relevant institutions have been directed to take effective and immediate measures for the protection of the girl and to guarantee the provision of justice. The Adviser made it clear that action against all individuals involved in the incident will be ensured strictly in accordance with the law.

Shahid Rind further stated that any form of negligence or dereliction of duty regarding the underage girl's case will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He directed the police and district administration to prioritize the arrest of the main accused and to pursue the case with complete diligence.

The arrest of the girl's father from Chaman marks a significant development in the case, which has drawn attention to the broader issue of child marriage and the vulnerability of minors in the region. Authorities have assured that the investigation will proceed without any outside pressure, and that the safety and well-being of the child remain the top priority.
