Six injured in stray dog attacks

SARAI MUGHAL:
Six people and several cattle were reportedly injured in stray dog attacks in areas around Sarai Mughal on Thursday.
Residents said packs of stray dogs could be seen roaming streets, roads, fields and populated areas, particularly during the morning and evening hours. They said the presence of packs had made it difficult for children, women and elderly people to move around safely.
Doctors said the affected patients were being provided necessary medical care and treatment according to their condition.
Residents claimed that the number of stray dogs had increased in Sarai Mughal and surrounding settlements.
The residents said children returning from school and people leaving their homes for routine activities were particularly vulnerable to attacks by packs of dogs. Families of those injured said they had been forced to take additional precautions when travelling through affected areas.
