Patrick Clancy’s new wife joins him for first interview since Lindsay Clancy mistrial

Patrick Clancy is set to speak publicly for the first time since his former wife Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial ended in a mistrial, with his new wife, Dr. Rachel Danis, joining him for the interview.

Clancy and Danis appear together in an upcoming episode of 60 Minutes, which is scheduled to air on Sunday, September 20, at 7 p.m. ET on CBS. Danis, an infertility specialist, married Clancy in April, and the couple now live in New York City.

The interview comes after Lindsay Clancy’s closely watched trial over the deaths of the couple’s three children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. Lindsay has pleaded not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility, while her defence argued that she was experiencing postpartum psychosis and had not received adequate medical care.

The trial ended in a mistrial after jurors were unable to reach a unanimous verdict. Prosecutors have not announced whether they will seek a retrial, with a court hearing scheduled for September 29.

Clancy, who testified during the trial, has previously spoken about continuing to grieve his children. In a clip from the 60 Minutes interview, he said he still talks to them and asks them for help “all the time”.

Clancy has also previously said that he forgives Lindsay. The upcoming 60 Minutes interview is expected to explore his grief, his memories of his children and the aftermath of the mistrial, while also marking Danis’ first public appearance alongside him since their marriage.
