Cop among five killed in Khuzdar firing

At least five people, including a police officer, were killed following a firing incident in the remote Ariange area of Wadh tehsil in Khuzdar district, official sources confirmed.

Police sources indicated that the victims were affiliated with Shafiq Mengal, a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and prominent local tribal figure. However, no formal statement has been issued by Shafiq Mengal or his representatives regarding the incident.

Law enforcement officials have launched an investigation, collecting forensic evidence from the site to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack.
