CDF stresses tech's role in security

Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir on Wednesday highlighted the importance of technological innovation and advanced solutions in strengthening national security and resilience in a meeting with an American defence company delegation.
A statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that representatives from POWERUS, specialising in defence and critical infrastructure solutions, called on CDF Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi to discuss matters of mutual interest.
It further said the delegation, led by Robert Bret Velicovich, discussed evolving trends in defence technology and avenues for cooperation in defence procurement, production and capacity building.
"CDF highlighted the importance of technological innovation and advanced solutions in strengthening national security and resilience. Both sides expressed interest in further developing engagement in areas of mutual interest," the ISPR said.
