Capital gets mobile funeral units

ISLAMABAD:
Quba Islamic Complex Islamabad has prepared two vehicles, worth Rs250 million, as Pakistan's first modern mobile units for the washing and shrouding of deceased persons.
The vehicles have been specially designed to provide modern funeral facilities to deceased persons in Islamabad's urban and rural areas, as well as those who die in accidents.
The mobile units will provide facilities for washing and shrouding the deceased, and will be equipped with air conditioning, hot water and other necessary amenities. The service will be provided free of charge.
Quba Islamic Centre General Secretary Abdul Wajid said the organisation believed in serving humanity and remained ready to assist citizens whenever needed.
Speaking to The Express Tribune, he said the project had been completed under the directives of the Quba Islamic Centre president.
