SHANGLA:

A two-storey residential house was completely gutted in a sudden fire in the Bela Amnavi area of Shangla, leaving a family facing heavy financial losses.

The house, owned by Zain, son of Jan Zaib, caught fire unexpectedly and was quickly engulfed in flames. The intense blaze destroyed the entire building, along with furniture, clothes, bedding, household items, electrical appliances and other valuables worth millions of rupees.

Local residents rushed to the scene and attempted to control the fire on a self-help basis. However, the intensity of the blaze caused extensive damage, reducing the house and its belongings to ashes. The cause of the fire could not be immediately ascertained.

Fortunately, no loss of life or injuries were reported in the incident. However, the affected family suffered a devastating financial setback.

Zain said the house represented his lifetime savings and years of hard work. He said he had built it with his entire savings but was now unable to afford reconstruction.
