Accomplices kill 2 criminals: police

JARANWALA:

Two alleged criminals were killed and three others arrested in police encounters.

According to police, four men opened fire on a team near Chak 473-GB, Samundri, after being signalled to stop. During the exchange of fire, Asif Iqbal and Shakeel Iqbal were critically injured by their accomplices' firing and died on the way to hospital.

The police said both.men were wanted in dozens of cases.

In another encounter near Chak 263-RB, three men opened fire on police while attempting to flee. During the exchange, Zulqarnain was injured by his accomplices' firing, of whom two were arrested.
